According to The Scandlines' website, the ferry to [[Rostock]] charges by vehicle regardless of the number of passengers, so it is hypothetically possible to hitch a ride with a car. Ferries are every 2 hours from 7:00 to 21:00, cars can take up to 9 passengers. If you buy a ticket it will cost 14€50DKK.
