== Hitchhiking out ===== Southwest towards [[Tadmor]] ('''Deir ez ZorPalmyra''), [[Damascus]] ===There's a big roundabout at the end of town, where you, also called ''Dayr az-Zawr''walking in direction [[Tadmor]], ''Deir al-Zur'' can find a water supply after some 200m walking. From there you can easily hitch and other variants find some shadow (see the guy on the left inside the picture). Traffic is low, as the next city (''Arabic'': دير الزور; [[ArmeniaTadmor|ArmenianPalmyra]]) is a 200 km ride away. You for sure don't want to get stuck in the desert inbetween!
