Great idea for an article Alex! I also thought about 'hitchhiking with a mission' before, especially when I came across this article: Man shares Gospel through hitchhiking (another link)--Robino 17:07, 16 September 2008 (CEST) :Hey!Actually i also prefer Robinos title for this category, because i think it's a wider definition that offers more space for different projects which don't have a 100% political background but a social engaged one. if we'd only call it "political hitchhiking" there would be no space for people who hitchhike for example for school books somewhere, but without political background.what do you think?--Wukk 20:15, 22 September 2008 (CEST)::I would make it two different articles but the school book thing is for me actually political hitchhiking too... However, I think it is more the mission-thing that irritates me (i somehow connect force to it)... What about just calling it 'campaigning' (as stated fully in the first sentence 'Hitchhiking and (political) campaigning is an interesting and maybe controversial one.')? That sounds open enough for me in sense of word and topic... --Alex 00:50, 6 October 2008 (CEST):::Campaigning is alright for me. I am not so much opposed to the political part in 'political hitchhiking' since in the end it is all political anyway. But somehow I really dig the mission thing. Can you explain why it doesn't fit the purpose for you Alex? --Robino 12:08, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

I would make it two different articles but the school book thing is for me actually political ==Hitchhiking with a Mission==Many people hitch because of a certain mission. Examples include:* We are hitchhiking tooand couch surfing across North America to help stop Generation Y’s breast cancer epidemic. However, I think it is more com/ == Dead link == During several automated bot runs the mission-thing that irritates me (i somehow connect force following external link was found to it)be unavailable... What about just calling it 'campaigning' (as stated fully in Please check if the first sentence 'Hitchhiking and (political) campaigning link is an interesting in fact down and maybe controversial one.')? That sounds open enough for me fix or remove it in sense of word and topcthat case! * http://www.lcd.org. uk/events/hitch** In Political hitchhiking on 2010-11-11 15:27:10, 404 Not Found** In Political hitchhiking on 2010-11-12 02:01:58, 404 Not Found** In Political hitchhiking on 2010-11-13 02:02:23, 404 Not Found** In Political hitchhiking on 2010-11-14 02:02:14, 404 Not Found** In Political hitchhiking on 2010-11-15 02:02:06, 404 Not Found** In Political hitchhiking on 2010-11-16 02:02:05, 404 Not Found** In Political hitchhiking on 2010-11-17 02:02:00, 404 Not Found** In Political hitchhiking on 2010-11-18 02:01:46, 404 Not Found** In Political hitchhiking on 2010-11-19 02:05:19, 404 Not Found** In Political hitchhiking on 2010-11-20 02:06:06, 404 Not Found --AlexLanigiro 0003:5006, 6 October 2008 20 November 2010 (CESTCET)
