::I've hitched three times through Serbia, and found it relatively hard. In this country I stop less cars, many of the cars that do stop have foreign instead of Serbian drivers, and that even 1 in 5 cars that do stop drive off again (after they find out I'm not speaking Serbo-Croatian?). Maplefanta, I hitched a few times out of Belgrade, I might add some extra info on this later. [[User:jurgen|jurgen]] 00:59, 10 September 2008 (CEST)

::Blackriding : why do we need to talk about this ? Surely we hitchers should buy tickets ..otherwise we are stealing from the people that pay --[[User:Stewgreen|Stewgreen]] 09:58, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

:::# Not paying != stealing.
:::# Some people believe public transport should be free.
:::# As a hitchhiker going through different countries, with little money (or even with more than little money, there are not many borders with ATMs, and changing money can feel like a rip-off), it can be hard to carry local money for every country, and consequently to acquire tickets for local public transport.
