It's ==To [[Tauranga]], Cambridge== If you find your way to the start of SH1 there is a really tough place to hitch very good spot just after the intersection with Howell Ave. You can wait on the other side of the road from Howell Ave, and easily get a lift towards Tauranga. om - semi suburban road for about 5km from one side of town to the other. Dunstan walked the full length with a big pack!
The highway runs the west side of the town, it is easier to get a ride from there then it is from in the town itself.
