==Trivia==:''Our experience was hitchhiking into [[Hopkins]] after catching the bus to the intersection with the Southern Highway. The distance into the sleepy little town is too far to walk and the local bus into the town is quite infrequent. It is likely that you will come across locals at the shack on the corner who are waiting for the bus. They noted that it was commonplace to try to hitch a ride while waiting for the bus, whichever comes first.
