'''Lviv''' (Львів) (Polish: Lwów; Russian: Львов, L'vov) is a city in the Western [[Ukraine]], somewhat close to about 70km away from [[Poland|Polish]]border.

Not exactly hitching, but you can get a marshrutka from the train station going to the Polish border, the Shegyni-Medyka crossing, for 9.50 UAH/~$2 (June 2007). Look or ask for one that says Lviv - Shegyni(Львів-Шегині). It is allowed to cross the border on foot.
