Hitchhiking out
You can walk to any part of the city, so distances to exits are indicated from main points.
East towards Sudak
- Any minibus heading to Sudakskoye Highway (not to be confused with Sudakskaya Street), which is effectively the exit from the city. If you are at:
- the trolleybus station, it's 2.9 km to the exit. Walk along 15th April Street to the end, cross Sovetskaya Square, then continue one block along Lenin Street (passes 100 m from the square) to the roundabout, then along Krasnoarmeyskaya to the next roundabout.
- Sovetskaya Square, it's 2 km to the exit. The walking route is described above.
- the bus station, it's 3 km to the exit. Walk along Pervomayskaya Street to the end, then turn right onto Partizanskaya Street, which leads you to Sovetskaya Square. The further route is as described above.
- If entering the city from the Simferopol side, get off at the very beginning – ask for Lenin Street. Walk one block down Lenin Street, then all of Sudakskaya Street to the roundabout, after which Sudakskoye Highway begins (don’t confuse the two). From the Simferopol entry to the Sudak exit is only 1.7 km.
- If entering from the Yalta side and your car is going to Simferopol, go all the way through Alushta bypass, and get out at its very end. See the previous paragraph for further directions.
Northwest towards Simferopol
- Any minibus going to the intersection of Lenin Street and Sudakskaya Street. If you are at:
- the trolleybus station, it's 2.5 km to the exit. Walk along 15th April Street to the end, cross Sovetskaya Square, then along Lenin Street (passes 100 m from the square) to the bypass road.
- Sovetskaya Square, it's 1.6 km to the exit. Walk along Lenin Street (which passes 100 m from the square) to the very end of the city, reaching the bypass road.
- the bus station, it's 2.2 km to the exit. Walk along Simferopolskaya Street (also Alushta's bypass). If you have money, it’s best to take a trolleybus to the GAI police post halfway between Alushta and Simferopol, from where you can easily hitchhike to the Crimean capital.
- If entering the city from the Sudak side, get out at the very beginning – ask for Sudakskaya Street at the roundabout. Walk all of Sudakskaya Street, then one block along Lenin Street, and you'll be on the highway. The distance from the Sudak entry to the Simferopol exit is only 1.7 km.
Southwest towards Yalta, Sevastopol

- the trolleybus station, it's 1.5 km to the exit. Walk along Gorky Street to the bus station, then from the roundabout – along Yaltinskoye Highway, which is the exit from Alushta.
- Sovetskaya Square, it's 1.5 km to the city border. Walk along Partizanskaya Street, then turn left onto Pervomayskaya, then from the roundabout – along Yaltinskoye Highway, which is the exit from Alushta.
