You can reach any part of the city on foot, so exact distances to exits are given.
East towards Sudak
- Any minibus going to Sudak Highway (not to be confused with Sudakskaya St.), which is effectively the exit from the city.
- If you are at the trolleybus station, it is 2.9 km to the exit. Walk along 15th April St. to the end, then cross Sovetskaya Sq., continue one block on Lenina St. (about 100 m from the square) to a traffic circle, then along Krasnoarmeyskaya St. to the next roundabout.
- From Sovetskaya Sq., it is 2 km to the city exit. See the above route.
- From the bus station, it is 3 km to the exit. Walk along Pervomayskaya St. to the end, then turn right onto Partizanskaya St., which will take you to Sovetskaya Sq. Continue as described earlier.
- If you are entering the city from Simferopol, get off at the very beginning—ask for Lenina St. Walk one block on Lenina St., then the full length of Sudakskaya St. to the traffic circle, beyond which the Sudak Highway begins (don’t mix them up). The distance from the Simferopol entrance to the Sudak exit is 1.7 km.
- If you are coming from Yalta and your car is heading to Simferopol, go through the entire Alushta bypass and get out at its very end. See above for further instructions.
North towards Simferopol
- Any minibus going to the intersection of Lenina and Sudakskaya streets.
- From the trolleybus station, it’s 2.5 km to the exit. Go along 15th April St. to the end, cross Sovetskaya Sq., then continue along Lenina St. (which is 100 m from the square) to the ring road.
- From Sovetskaya Sq., it’s 1.6 km. Walk on Lenina St. to the edge of the city, reaching the ring road.
- From the bus station, it’s 2.2 km. Walk along Simferopolskaya St. (which is also the city bypass). If you have money, take a trolleybus to the police post halfway between Alushta and Simferopol, from where it’s easy to hitchhike further.
- If coming into the city from Sudak, get out at the very beginning, ask for the Sudakskaya St. roundabout. Go along this street completely, then one more block on Lenina St. and you are at the highway. The distance from Sudak entrance to Simferopol exit is 1.7 km.
West towards Yalta, Sevastopol
