here in 2017 twice. 1st time (5 days) delta Delta > Iquitos > Yurimaguas (started hitchhiking here) > Huancayo > Peru/Chile border. 2nd time (5 weeks due to dog bite-got 5 rabies shots, over 4 weeks, that was free at the public hospitals) Boliva border at lake titicaca > Cusco > Machu Picchu via walking the railway track > ausangate and rainbow mountain > nascar lines > lima > lake 69 > colca canyon and mt chachani summit > Equador border (El Alamor/Lalamor).
Be very careful around dogs, many were insanely aggressive/territorial when i walked past, constantly trying to bite the back of my legs. Craziest country for mad dogs i have ever been.
