15 years ago I decided to start hitchiking around the United States, inspired by spiritual practices of non attachment, the sadus of India and other free spirits that has written books full of adventure and freedom. I was dropped of in a tiny town in Nevada all alone, most of my belongings given away. The next 7 years I hitchhiked, van traveled, or took the occasional grey hound bus non stop. I didn't work a job or pay for a place to live. Rainbow Gatherings and Jam Band festivals inspired by the Grateful Dead were some of my favorite things to find when not solo trekking in areas with beautiful nature. After those 7 years I started moving more slowly and living places and working jobs but even then I always have still hitchhiked and never stayed anywhere long. Now I'm in Guatemala for a few months before linking up with a buddy to hitchike through Latin America.
