Most of the cars passing now are fountain you will see the road forking, the left lane going towards down to the motorway, the highwayright lane going higher up. You can also take bus no 2 Stand with your sign in the middle between the two lanes, or on the pavement next to "Nove Jarse" from Southern part of Slovenska cestathe parking place entrance. The last stop Even though the first option might look a bit strange, this is the mentioned hitchhiking most common spotand it's easy for drivers to see you and there's enough space for one car to safely stop there.

Take bus no 27 towards "Letaliska" and get out at "Jarše". Continue following "Šmartinska cesta" about 400 meters and turn right from the traffic lights. There is a bus stop right after. This Direction north-west there is the motorway E61/A2 starts from towards Kranj through the Ljubljana bypass. The best way to join this motorway is from the street Celovška cesta, at the bus stop Šentvid Karawanken Tunnel (stand in Slovenian: ''Predor Karavanke'') or over the corner before pass over the bus stop!!). Get there by bus number 1 border to Villach (direction Vižmarje), 25 (dirslov. Medvode: ''Beljak''), or 8 (dir. Gameljne) from the city centre. If people who pick you up don't go as far as you like, you can get a lift as far as the first "Petrol" gas station in Austria and further on on the highway (17km away) or the former toll station Torovo Tauern-motorway to Salzburg and keep hitchhiking thereover to Germany. There It is also a petrol station at the Radovljica-exit (right before Bled) which way that is useful used by most of those numerous Germans that go to the Croatian coast for getting into Austriahollidays.

Asphalt Follow the road will bring you for a few more minutes and cross the meadow to place where you can see fuel reach the rest stop. Alot of cars and trucks are going to Italy from here, easy to get a ride west. Just ask people at the gas station search tiny tail to it! .There is a shower in fuel station price for 3 eur and places for wild camping around...

From the city center centre (Dunajska cesta, Slovenska cesta) take the bus number 6 , 1, 1D (direction Dolgi most - last stop), 1D (same) or 6B (dir. Notranje gorice), to bus stop "Dolgi most which is Most". You will be dropped off on a large parking place just before the bridge above the road. Go back lot right next to the crossroads and you will see the entry lane into the a motorwaybridge. There will is also be an entry to a parking of a small houseBicike(lj) (bike rental) station nearby, stand on if you prefer it to taking the bus. On the opposite side of the road, there is a busy motorway entrance with your [[signs|sign]] (a great hitchhiking spot where cars can easily see you will see where everybody else stands...)and stop safely.Slovenians use this way to go to April 2024: Unfortunately, after the reconstruction the seaside so it is entrance doesn't make such a good hitchhiking spot especially during summeranymore. Hitchhiking is still possible, but stopping has became much more difficult for drivers. The Barje rest stop is recommended instead, or try to get a pick from the Petrol gas pump on Tržaška cesta.

Catch bus 9 in direction of "Barje" from the center or the train station and exit on the final stop "Barje". You can hitchhike next to the parking lot or walk down the "barjanska" street and try to find a better place. That'''Option 1'''s the entrance people from Ljubljana would use to enter the highway going south, so this spot might be less suitable for long distance picks, but perfect to get you to Novo Mesto.

Service area "Barje", in direction of Zagreb. This service area is on the Ring around Ljubljana and is very well-served by a lot of long-distance drivers. To get there take bus number 1 or 1B in direction Mestni Log from the center. Go off one stop before last, called "Koprska". Continue straight (the bus takes a turn just before the stop "Koprska" - don't follow it, go straight on!) on the street Cesta V Mestni Log, after 2 minutes you will cross a bridge over a small river. Continue straight and cross the motorway over the bridge, and on the left side the service area is about 500 m away. There is a golf course between you and the service area, which you can cross by climbing its fences (not too high) if the personal allows you, which hasn't always been the case. If they don't, you should take an immediate left directly after crossing the highway (youOption 3: Highway entrance Rudnik're still on the bridge at that point), descending to the guardrail. You are now between the golf course's fence and the highway, which is quite a narrow path at some points. After a few hundred metres, you'll get to the resting area.

Asphalt of the on-ramp road , on your left, you will bring you to place see a small asphalt surface where all the cars pass, and there you can see fuel station search tiny tail stand and hitchhike easily. Pay attention that you're hitchhiking on the highway entrance (the left turn) and not on the old road (Dolenjska cesta), which is continuing straight ahead. Drivers going to it!Kočevje and Ribnica use this entrance.

Go there during daylight and plan in enough time to find a suitable spot. If you are hitchhiking on go until the highway entrance bag side of the park (just before the turn leftforest starts) and not on go west you'll reach a little staircase out of stone. Climb it and you'll find a calm spot to spend the old road, which is continuing straight ahead.night
