== Liftarkungen == Liftarkungen: Hi Zenit, I was happy to hear that you noticed my hitchhiking-tag! Do you write your name as well on places you hitchhike from? Where are you from and what did you do at Järna?:Hey, yep, I added my tag as well :-) I do that on every trip before I lose my marker pen which always happens sooner or later :-) I don't like being from somewhere, but I'm not from Sweden - guess you noticed that :-) in Järna I was on my way from Stockholm back to continental Europe.--[[User:Zenit|Zenit]] 15:03, 5 September 2011 (CEST) (btw: we usually use talk pages to, umm, talk, and maybe you could sign your posts by putting <nowiki>--~~~~</nowiki>? Cheers :-) ==Thanks for the infoboxen==Thanks for all your edits man! It's great to see someone adding infoboxes to all those stubs I think created :) Oh and let's ditch the red links on [[Oceania]] and [[Carribean]] before 2012 :) [[User:Guaka|guaka]] 01:49, 6 September 2011 (CEST):Hehe, somebody's gotta do it, right? It's best very much on my to do list to catch 'em all :-)--[[User:Zenit|Zenit]] 12:46, 6 September 2011 (CEST) == 2000 Articles == Yes, you were right. Congratulations for creating the 2000th Article --[[User:MrTweek|MrTweek]] 12:58, 7 October 2011 (CEST) == US stuff == Thanks for contributing to delete the spot Idaho law page. I am glad the troopers were kind to you just added there. I am trying hard to build these law sections for the US, so if you have anymore experiences or information on the laws, I would love to see it.[[RotterdamUser:Thewindandrain|Thewindandrain]]. If 05:38, 31 May 2012 (CEST):Glad you liked it:-) yeah, I've been in a couple more states and I's probably illegalll be adding more stuff gradually. (Do you know Altan by any chance?)--[[User:Zenit|Zenit]] 06:47, 31 May 2012 (CEST)::No, I don't know Altan? Regarding your contribution to Illinois: If you do morehitching in the US you will come to find that much of the law enforcement is clueless on hitchhiking laws. I added the actual definition of roadway to the Illinois page based on their statute book in chapter 95 so that thereis no confusion. I have been told by police in almost every state I's no reason ve been to recommend at least once that it above is illegal to hitchhike their whole state. If you stick to your guns and tell them you are going to continue hitchhiking because the "Definitions and General Provisions" subsection of their statute book clearly defines the word roadway as exclusive of the place already mentionedshoulder, they will leave you alone. Many of them will continue to threaten you, but none are allowed to actually arrest you. Welcome to America, which this is easy to reach how law enforcement handles things--through intimidation and has abundant room to stopterrorism. [[User:CRCulverThewindandrain|CRCulverThewindandrain]] 0316:5317, 8 July 2011 31 May 2012 (CEST):::[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owS-yzRDK6k Pretty awesome song.] -- Yeah, I 've already found that... thanks for adding that, then! Is it in pretty much all the states that the roadway excludes the shoulder? That'd be super useful :-)--[[User:Zenit|Zenit]] 23:55, 1 June 2012 (CEST)::::My username actually comes from [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IN6mjNMNytY this beautiful song.] Most states definitions of roadway exclude the shoulder, but there are a good bit of them that don't necessarily agree mention the shoulder in the definition (ie. Indiana). It's a good rule of thumb to hitch from the grass if you're not sure just in case. I added the roadway definition to most states, but there were a few I just never got around to. If you want to find out roadway definitions for two reasonsa state, simply go to google and type "Texas law definitions roadway" with the given state, this works most of the time. If you do look up the definitions, it would be awesome if you add them to their respective article.::::: I think now all states should have definitions; I added Nebraska... seemed to be the only one lacking one. And I made apretty map for myself with the laws of all the states :-) is --05:58, 3 June 2012 (CEST)*Hey I really liked your idea of the hitchhiking laws by state color coded map that you posted on the main US page. I replaced it in with a different part one based on more recent information I researched including the addition of Puerto Rico. I think you will find this map to be more accurate. Please follow up with me with any questions as parts of town your map confused me. Ie. north dakota and texas actually allows hitchhiking on freeways and closer montana bans pedestrians on some freeways. Furthermore you seem to have a lot of experience hitchhiking in the US and contribute a lot. Would you want to help me develop pages for cities in the US? I'm working on trying to build a whole bunch page for every major city that I remember hitchhiking out of . I think the primary information people and bwant to know about the cities is where to go to hitch out of them. ''nothing but time on my hands''[[User:Thewindandrain|Thewindandrain]] 08:19, 23 September 2012 (CEST) is :Hey ya! Thanks for updating the map, then. Surprised about Texas, I'd love to field-test that some time :D I clarified some things in the Montana article as apparently it IMHO 's illegal then to hitch on the Interstate, but nobody gives a rat's ass...<br>About the cities: I don't know how much I can help you there. I tried to avoid cities best I could and when leaving almost always preferrable I got somebody to drop me off at a decent Interstate onramp or something... I could give some half-decent pointers for Chicago and for L.A. - do you have if any plans for those two? If not several then at least two different options , I'll add what I know some time. Thanks for the work you're doing, eh! :-)--[[User:Zenit|Zenit]] 21:03, 23 September 2012 (CEST)::Actually I just created the [[Chicago]] page yesterday. If you have additional info on hitching out of the city, go for it! Regarding Montana, it is similar to New Mexico in that some places allow it and some places prohibit it. I made a thread on digihitch a townwhile back about my findings: [http://www. If you candigihitch.com/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=13368026] I called the DOT in quite a few states, so I't agree feel free m fairly certain the list is accurate. == Novosibirsk == "Hitchhiking through, especially from and to delete awaythe South, is not necessarily a lot of fun." This demands more details, though don’t you agree. Perhaps you could start a new "Hitching in and around" section.
