: In about 2015 the road in the south to Guatemala should be finished. It possible to cross over now but quite hard. Rode a construction worked bus to end of the road, then hiked 4km to Jalacte. Then a very muddy horse trail for about an hour to Santa Cruz, didn't look like there was a road cross border. No border post, so probably not very legal. Otherwise I found Belize very hitchable and would've made it from north to very south in one day.
