To get out of Zvolen, walk from the center to the south until you have to cross the river. After crossing the river, you will see the east-west road called 'Lucenecka Cesta'. It is not hard to find a good spot on this road, just look for a gas station, bus stop or whatever place there is with enough space for cars to stop. Lots of people going long distances. Check the number plates first though! 'ZV' stands for Zvolen and is most of the time local traffic.
