Saint-Denis (or Saint-Denis de la Réunion) is the capital of Réunion, an island situated in the Indian Ocean. Saint-Denis is the most populous commune in the French overseas departments.

Hitchhiking westwards
Go to the Barachois on foot from the city center (the sea front), then walk along the shore westward until you reach a small bridge. Cross it, keep going (slightly uphill) until you reach the car jaune (yellow coach) stop. That's the place.
Hitchhiking eastwards
There's a long line of redlights on the way east from St Denis, walkable from the centre. It's called "le Lancastel". Pick one, use a sign.
