I first hitched in 1996 in Australia where I'm orginally from and have continued to hitch much of that time throughout Europe and Australia and a little in Asia and USA. I've mostly lived in Britain throughout my adult life so thats where I have the most hitching experiene but I've reduced doing it over the last 5 years since getting a car finally. When I needed to do it again in the last few days and went online to see the rules for it in New Zealand I was really pleased to see this site and to see it hasn't died out and there is a new generation hitchers returning to the roads!
