Best spot to hitchhike from is at a bus stop across from Tesco in the direction [[Žilina]] or walk  Walk east outside of the town in the direction [[Poprad]] and [[Liptovský Mikuláš]].  Walking south when looking for a ride in the direction [[Banská Bystrica]] works well, until you pass the shell gas station. Thumb from anywhere after that.
