Heading towards Kerry, catch bus number 7 to its terminus and hitch from the big roundabout there.
South towards [Cork city, etc ]
Go to the Raheen roundabout on the South side of the city. This can be reached by the number 7 bus from Limerick City Centre (Outside the Brown Thomas department Store) for around 1.50 Euro. From the last stop, you walk up the motorway for 5 minutes until you reach a second roundabout. Here, you turn left and stand on the side of the motorway behind some yellow lines. We waited for 30 minutes with a sign at this spot and got a lift to Cork city.
