* [http://findacrew.net Find a Crew] is by far the largest website for finding crew and boats. As a free member you can only browse partial profiles (not true) and "wave" to captains - if they have a paid account, they can then start a message conversation with you; if they have a free account like you, they can only "wave" back (not true - they can confirm mutual interest or decline). You can also just hope that captains scouring the site for crew will find your (rather detailed) profile (not true - your detailed profile is automatically matched with an advanced instantly calculated algorithm and every member sees a their own personalised list of members in their 'QuickFind' search , sorted in order of best match), but unless you have sailing experience or the captain is attracted to you (what a bigotry, misogynist, chauvinistic statement!), this is probably a long shot.
* [http://crewbay.com CrewBay] has much fewer boats than Find a Crew, but still quite a few, and you can do most things for free. It does have some premium paid features, but you can easily get by without them. [[User:Treefrog]] found a boat from Florida to Panama this way, and his crewmates also found the boat using free CrewBay accounts.
