You can also just hope that captains scouring the site for crew will find your (rather detailed) profile (not true - your detailed profile is automatically matched with an advanced instantly calculated algorithm and every member sees a their own personalised list of members in their 'QuickFind' search , sorted in order of best match), but unless you have sailing experience or the captain is attracted to you (what a bigotry, misogynist, chauvinistic statement!), this is probably a long shot.
