Dnipro is a big city in Ukraine. Until 2016 the city's name was Dnepropetrovsk.

North/East towards Kiev

Don't try the option from the russian hitchwiki. Cars mainly take another way to Kiev. Maybe go from the Berezyns'kyi market in the direction of Reshetylivka and there hitch onto the motorway that leads directly to Kiev.
