Go to “White Hall” junction before the motorway. There is a church nearby. Take the following buses – 3, 16, 16A, 33, 41, 41A, 41B, 41C, 103, 105, 746. This links the N1 to the M4 motorway.
===Heading North ([[Ashbourne]], [[Ardee]], etc.)===
Go to Finglas village and walk down the motorway exit (sign post Derry). Stand on the side of the road with sign and/or thumb. Take the following buses – 17A, 40, 40A, 40 C, 40D, 83, 104. This is linked to the N2 motorway.
===Heading North ([[Navan]], [[Cavan]], etc.)===
Go to Blanchardstown or Castleknock roundabouts. Take the following buses – 38, 38A, 38B, 38C, 39, 39A, 70, 76A, 236, 237, 238, 239, 270. This is linked to the N2 motorway.
===Heading South ([[Wexford]], [[Gorey]], etc.)===
Go to the Bray roundabout near the petrol station. Take the following buses – 145, 184, 185, 45, 45A, 84. This is linked to the M11.
===Heading South/West ([[Limerick]],[[Cork]], etc.)===
Another way is to take the red line of Dublin's tram system LUAS in direction of "Tallaght" and get off at "Red Cow" (ticket price from the centre: 2,00€ (Aug 2008)). Here is a P&R-place and next to it ramps to either the N7 (national road) or the M50 (motorway ring surrounding Dublin). It's really easy to get a ride because you can ask people arriving by tram from the city centre.
