There are frequent passenger ferries to Tangier from Tarifa (up to 15 daily). Considering that it's a mere 14 kilometer trip that takes 35 minutes the price (37 €) is a bit too high. On the other side Ferries here are "fast" ferries that will bring you to Tangier city center. If you want it cheaper use rather port in [[Algeciras]] where the cheapest ticket costs 23 € (Oct 2018). But notice that the ferries from Algeciras will only bring you to the big port Tanger Med wich is located 40 km east of Tangier.
99% of trucks use port Algeciras, but hitch them there can be very hard. Most of them only take trailers to the port. For more informations see [[Algeciras]].
