Hitchhiking out
You can reach any part of the city on foot, so precise distances to exits are indicated.
East towards Sudak
- Any minibus going to Sudak Highway (not to be confused with Sudakskaya Street), which is effectively the city exit. If you are at:
- The trolleybus station: 2.9 km to the exit. Walk along 15-go Aprelya Street to the end, cross Sovetskaya Square, go one block along Lenina Street (100 m from the square) to the roundabout, from there take Krasnoarmeyskaya to the next roundabout.
- Sovetskaya Square: 2 km to the city exit. Directions as above.
- Bus station: 3 km to the exit. Walk along Pervomayskaya Street to the end, then turn right onto Partizanskaya Street, which leads you to Sovetskaya Square. Proceed as described above.
- If entering the city from Simferopol, get out at the very beginning of the city—ask for Lenina Street. Walk one block along Lenina Street, then take Sudakskaya Street completely to the roundabout, beyond which Sudak Highway starts (do not confuse them), which leads to the exit. From the Simferopol entrance to the Sudak exit is just 1.7 km.
- If entering the city from Yalta and your vehicle goes to Simferopol, go through the Alushta bypass and get out at its end. Then proceed as above.
North-west towards Simferopol
- Any minibus going to the intersection of Lenina and Sudakskaya Streets. If you are at:
- Trolleybus station: 2.5 km to the exit. Walk along 15-go Aprelya Street to the end, cross Sovetskaya Square, then along Lenina Street (100 m from the square) to the ring road.
- Sovetskaya Square: 1.6 km to the exit. Walk along Lenina Street (100 m from the square) to the edge of the city, to the bypass road.
- Bus station: 2.2 km to the exit. Walk along Simferopolskaya Street (which is the Alushta ring road). With some money, you can take the trolleybus to the police checkpoint halfway between Alushta and Simferopol, which makes for an easy hitch to the capital of Crimea.
- If entering the city from Sudak, get out at the very beginning—ask for the roundabout on Sudakskaya Street. Walk the entire Sudakskaya Street, then one block along Lenina Street to the highway. From the Sudak entrance to the Simferopol exit is only 1.7 km.
South-west towards Yalta, Sevastopol
- Any minibus going to the bus station. If you are at:
- Trolleybus station: 1.5 km to the exit. Walk along Gorkogo Street to the bus station, then from the roundabout continue along Yalta Highway, which is the exit from Alushta.
- Sovetskaya Square: 1.5 km to the city boundary. Walk along Partizanskaya Street, then turn left onto Pervomayskaya Street, then from the roundabout along Yalta Highway, which is the exit from Alushta.
- Bus station: 0.6 km to the edge of the residential area. Walk along Yalta Highway, which is the exit from Alushta, until you find a spot suitable for hitchhiking.
