There are 2 service stations, (both open 24h, restaurant, free toilets, moderate priced grocery store) in the crossing of highway #5 and #23, where you can ask the drivers. These are pretty good places to ask rides to '''all directions'''. You can also try hitchiking hitchhiking '''on-ramps'''.

If you're going west towards [[Jyväskylä]] and [[Tampere]], you could also try hitchhiking in a bus stop next to the smaller gas petrol station.

When you're on the street Taipaleentie (see "Hitching in" above), walk past the sawmill and you can start hitchiking hitchhiking on the roadside right after the first crossing to right (there might even be a bus stop if I remember right?).
