Hitching around
If you are coming from Stryj and going to Chernivtsi you can easily hitchhike around the bypass. It should work in the other direction as well.
Hitching out
North towards Lviv Н-09
First get to the neighborhood Pasichna. You can trolleybus 1,4,6,8, and many buses, and get off at the stop Radiozavod (a big green industrial building). Then ask people for directions to the highway (Halytske shosse) towards Halych and Lviv.
West towards Kalush Н-10
First get to the neighborhood Pasichna. You can trolleybus 1,4,6,8, and many buses, and get off at the stop Radiozavod (a big green industrial building). Ask people for directions to the Kalush highway (Kalus'ka trasa).
Northeast towards Ternopil, Kolomyia Н-18
Take trolleybus 2,9,10 or buses 61,73,81 and get of at the stop Cooperator. From there, go to the Tysmenytsia higway (Tysmenytska trasa).
South towards Nadvirna Т-0906
This is the main road to the Carpathians. You need to take bus 24 to the village Cherniiv and get off near the petrol station after the bridge over the river Bystrytsia. From there ask people for directions to the road to Nadvirna.
