This Direction north-west there is the motorway E61/A2 starts from towards Kranj through the Ljubljana bypass. The best way to join this motorway is from the street Celovška cesta, at the bus stop Šentvid. You can get there easily by taking bus number 1, 25, Karawanken Tunnel (Slovenian: ''Predor Karavanke'') or 8 from over the city centre in direction of Vižmarje. You can hitchhike at pass over the stop, but make sure you have a signborder to Villach (slov. If people who pick you up don: ''Beljak''t go as far as you like, you can get a lift as far as ) in Austria and further on on the former toll station Torovo Tauern-motorway to Salzburg and keep hitchhiking thereover to Germany. There It is also a petrol station at the Radovljica-exit (right before Bled) which way that is useful used by most of those numerous Germans that go to the Croatian coast for getting into Austriahollidays.

If your destination is [[Venice]] or further, the easiest way is via Nova Gorica(town on the walkable distance from Gorizia, Italy): use sign GO and ask to be dropped at the service area on the border. For [[Trieste]] it doesn't work well with TS sign - best option might be to use [[Koper|KP]] sign and then ask the driver to drop you off at Kozina exit (go right in the crossroads after toll booths). It's only 3 km from the border and on the main Rijeka-Trieste road.

If your destination is [[Rijeka]], take also rides going to [[Postojna]] or further west. Get out at Postojna exit and from there walk across the highway from there (use the bridge). There is a good spot to hitchhike southwards just few hundred meters after the bridge.

Another way to get to From the same gas station is to city centre (Dunajska cesta, Slovenska cesta) take the bus n° number 6, 1 , 1D (direction Dolgi most) or 1b and 6B (dir. Notranje gorice), to bus stop at Tbilisijska"Dolgi Most". Keep walking straight You will be dropped off on the direction the bus a large parking lot right next to a motorway bridge. To get there take bus number 1 or 1B in direction Mestni Log from the center. Go off one stop before last, called "Koprska". Continue straight (the bus takes a turn just before the stop "Koprska" - don't follow it, go straight on!) on the street Cesta v Mestni log, after 2 minutes you will cross a bridge over a small river. Continue straight and cross the motorway over the bridge, and on the left side the service area is about 500 m away. There is a golf course between you and the service area, which you can cross by climbing its fences (not too high) if the personal allows you, which hasn't always been the case. If they don't, you should take an immediate left directly after crossing the highway (you're still on the bridge at that point), descending to the guardrail. You are now between the golf course's fence and the highway, which is quite a narrow path at some points. After a few hundred metres, you'll get to the resting area. When you are hitchhiking towards [[Novo mesto]]reach the overpass look for a very small and steep pathway on your right, pay attention that you are hitchhiking on starting next to the high-way entrance (overpass. Descend down to the fence, turn left) right and not walk a few metres untill you reach an unlocked door. When you're on the old roadother side of the fence, which is continuing straight ahead. If you are hitchhiking to Zagreb, pay attention should already be able to see the "Crossing borders" section in rest stop. Follow the [[Slovenia]] pagepathway for another 100 m or so and there you are. There is a shower for 3€ and places for wildcamping around.

The on ramp beside the train Lidl on Pot Rdečega križa is fairly cheap- eur 16a 20min walk away from Mestni Log bus station.00 one-way Most people here are heading south, but we found a ride to Zagreb and lasts 2.5 hours. Trains are scheduled at:#06:35 #08:15 Šmarje - this train can take you as far as BelgradeSap gas station after an hour.#14:45#18:35

It is possible to sleep Catch bus 9 in the upside part direction of Tivoli park which is half an hour walking "Barje" from the city centrecenter or the train station and exit on the final stop "Barje". You can hitchhike next to the parking lot or walk down the "barjanska" street and try to find a better place. It is not That's the entrance people from Ljubljana would use to enter the highway going south, so flat terrainthis spot might be less suitable for long distance picks, but if perfect to get you search well you should find nice spots, clean, safe and quietto Novo Mesto.

From the city centre take a bus line 3 in direction of "Rudnik", and get off at the final stop. In front of you there will be the motorway entrance. Cross the street and on the locker room side of the train stationon-ramp road, on your left, you will see a policeman just comes in small asphalt surface where all the morning saying "Wake up"cars pass, but on occasion security people have entered and told there you can stand and hitchhike easily. Pay attention that ityou's re hitchhiking on the highway entrance (the left turn) and not possible on the old road (Dolenjska cesta), which is continuing straight ahead. Drivers going to sleep thereKočevje and Ribnica use this entrance.

Most of The best option in a walkable distance from the coffee places also provide free wificity centre would be park Tivoli. It is huge so you can easily find a good place to hide and set up your tent somewhere. People often drink there in the evening so it might be a good idea to sleep in or at least close to the forest, so nobody will bother you.
