In most opposite service stations in Switzerland it's possible and fairly easy to get to the other side. Quite a few coupled service stations have a pedestrian bridge, a car / pedestrian bridge or a bridge restaurant over them. There are often service roads and if you follow these, you get to the other side with a walk that most often does not take more than 20 minutes. Service stations often have a fence around them, which may be too high to climb, but often it isn't very high, moreover, there is probably always a not locked gate or door.

Since several languages are spoken in Switzerland, the service stations are called Raststätte, area di servizio or aire de service, depending on the language in the region.
