After adding the code, you can fill in the information. Remember to fill in the English name of the ''state'', if you're not sure, just leave it blank so that another hitchhiker can edit it. ''pop'' = population of the city, ''plate'' = licence plate of the region/city; and ''motorways'' the motorways nearby the city.

How to use this Template?

For using this template, copy&paste the following code to the top of the German city article you want to edit.

{{Infobox German Location
|country =
|state =
|map =
|pop =
|plate =
|motorways =
}}

How to fill in the stuff

After adding the code, you can fill in the information. Remember to fill in the English name of the state, if you're not sure, just leave it blank so that another hitchhiker can edit it. pop = population of the city, plate = licence plate of the region/city; and motorways the motorways nearby the city.

Thanks a lot and have fun using the template. For more information about this, have a look at How to add the country infobox.

Note: This template automatically sorts the page on which it is used in the appropriate category of the german federal state by the parameter “state”. Also it automatically adds the breadcrumb navigation (Template:IsIn). So you save two redundant mentions of the state's (“Bundesland”) name...
