The '''Siret-Porubnoe border crossing''' joins [[Romania]] at the town of Siret (near [[Suceava]]) and [[Ukraine]] at the village of Porubnoe (near [[Chernivtsi]]).
Walking across this border is not permitted. However, there are frequent queues to cross, and one can ask the drivers waiting there. Be sure to explain that crossing on foot is not possible and, if If coming from Ukraine, say you have no cigarettes (these being common contraband at this crossing). Walking across this border is now permitted. [[User:HHsardo | HHsardo]] did so in September 2015 and found a dozen locals crossing the border the same way.
