I have another suggestion Should you like to arrive earlier or option for HG '18. In the middle of Croatia in Vrhovinestay longer, 150 km south of Zagrebдобродошли (dobrodošli) - welcome, there is an area called Free Camp. As the name suggests, anyone can camp here for free. I've just been there and even found the location marked as a "campsite" on a map with facilities for tourists. Location can host easily 200 Serbian Rainbow Family of us. Located near Living Light welcomes you at the road, which same place from 18 July till 21 August!  (European Hitchgathering and Serbian Rainbow Gathering happen at times is a bit annoying (noise). There is no water (there actually is, but the tap is closed)same place and time, although I found water and electricity in the toilets of the nearby railway station (20/25 minutes on footplace which we will share). The camp has a few electricity plugs, but also not working (switched off). Important, at  At the camp location there WILL will be other travellers (camping cars and such) staying there, that's no problem and even very nicedrinkable tap water. Dumpster diving will I guess probably not be great, the village has a shop at 20 minutes walking, but small and not very friendly staff, nearest bigger town is Otocac at 20 km, hitchability medium so interesting. We can buy at best, I've also waited two hours once cost price really cheap food (but in summer it's Serbia!) from the local farmers and this will be better due to more tourists)cheap. I've heard The Rainbow would help us with that the place has also hosted bigger number , as they of course are taking care of peoplehealthy food anyway. Owner is named Alex apparently In the area there are several streams, but he's rarely at we will see how suitable they are for swimming or washing. Although we are hosted by the siteSerbian Rainbow gathering, there is no way to contactban on non-vegetarian food and no ban on smoking and drinking a bit of alcohol. The old motorway runs just behind Beograd Centar station and there is even some kind of a petrol station only 0.3 km from that station.
