'''Qinghai''' is a city in [[China]]. Experience from August 2017: I hitchhiked from Xining around the Qinghai lakeLake. Out of Xining I just went to one of the high way entrances by foot and would stay there with a sign saying Quinghai hu (in chineseChinese), however, just staying there as a foreigner would already raise enough attention. Also, I had a self -drawn map with the main streets, the cities, etc. with me which I found very helpful showing the people. Generally, it was rather easy to hitchhike around there. Especially as many, many tourists from all over China are coming there.It was hard to find a place to camp along the Qinghai lakeLake, as next to the street everwhere everywhere were high fences! on both sides! accessing the lake was not easy and going to the mountains also not... [[Category:China]]
