Kulob is a small town in the Khatlon province of Tajikistan. All trucks between Dushanbe and the Pamirs pass through Kulob, taking the low road. (The other route between the Pamirs and Dushanbe, the M41, goes through high mountain passes and is mostly traveled by jeeps.)

There is a market in the eastern part of town. Try to get a lift towards the Pamirs. Usually locals ask others and this chain-reaction will get a lift.
