== Hitchhiking out ==
You can take a 'tro tro' (bus) from Accra to Kasoa for 1 or 2 cedis and get down at the toll station, where it's fairly easy to get a lift. There is a sign saying "No hawking [selling] beyond this point" But it seems that if you look like a tourist nobody gives you any hassle.
This user did not find any decent places to sleep outside, though some internet cafe's are open 24 hours. The Salvation Army hostel is 10GHC per night.

This is by no means the best option, but one hitchhiker got a tro tro to Tema roundabout, then took another to Affienya. There's a police barrier roadblock just north of the town.
