The New Europe Bridge, more commonly known as the Danube Bridge 2, or the Vidin–Calafat Bridge, is a road and railway bridge between the cities of Calafat, Romania and Vidin, Bulgaria. It is the second bridge on the shared section of the Danube between Romania and Bulgaria. It was officially opened on 14 June 2013.
Pedestrians or cyclists can cross for free, but cars need to pay a fee of 6 euros. Border crossing checkpoint is located on the Romanian side (untill Bulgaria and Romania join the passport free Schengen zone).
