[http://www.lcdinternational.org/england_wales/hitch.htm The Hitch] is a large fund-raising event organised by Link Community Development. It's the biggest organised hitchhiking event in the UK, and probably in the world. Over 5,500 people have taken part in the Hitch since it started in [[1992]], raising more than £2.5million for LCD’s projects in sub-Saharan Africa. In 2010 over 1200 people have thumbed their way to [[Morocco]] or [[Prague]].
