住帐篷睡袋不花钱. 但是有的地方扎营是非法的. 一般在斯堪的纳维亚, 芬兰, 苏格兰和爱尔兰是合法的, 尽管如此在野外露营可能影响他人. 在隐秘处扎营, 早晨早起，不要留下垃圾和火堆。

一般高速加油站附近有好的宿营地. 耳塞可以抵抗噪音.即使是城市化很高的荷兰露营也是可行的;如果你在阿姆斯特丹搭车，你可以到Haarrijn的服务区, 没有人会注意你, 而且环境优美(景色很"荷兰" 乡间，牛群和草地).
