West towards Vancouver or South towards Penticton

Take the 90 UBC Connector bus from the downtown terminal to UBC in Kelowna. Transfer to the 97 Express Bus and take it all the way to the end of the line in Westbank. Walk west along Highway 97 for about 5 minutes where there is a shoulder at the top of the hill (across from the greyhound station). The 97 diverges about 4km down the highway from here to separate into south and west routes; however, the traffic is much faster at the turn off and the shoulders are much smaller. Therefore, it is best to save yourself the walk and use a sign indicating your direction at the formerly mentioned spot.

The bus depot downtown also has buses that connect Vernon to Enderby and Salmon Arm, although the schedule is not as frequent as the Kelowna connector. (The bus to and from Salmon Arm only runs on Wednesdays).
