Veliko Tarnovo is a city in Central North Bulgaria.
It's on the highway Sofia - Varna. Many roads to Stara Planina (Balcan mountain) starts from Veliko Tarnovo, including many roads to South Bulgaria (across the same mountain).
Hitching Out
===West towards Sofia You've got to find the City Court ("Sydebna Palata") which is quite close to the city centre - it's on the main street exactly to the city market.
