Thanks for your contribution to the article on Cyprus, but Hitchwiki is not meant to include exhaustive listings of paid accommodation. The "Sleeping" section focuses on camping and hospitality exchange communities, while travellers can consult e.g. Wikivoyage for hotel and hostel listings. OK I moved the accommodation in to couchwiki I will check Wikivoyage

You write, "The thing is my own policy is that all the information for Backpackers should be in one place so I will change around I will stop putting updates first into Hitchwiki and rather put them on Couchwiki." There's no need to keep all information in just one place. Hitchwiki has always tried to support the ecosystem of libre wiki projects when it comes to budget travel information beyond hitchhiking. For example, many Hitchwiki articles link to Trashwiki for dumpster-diving tips. Wikivoyage is the major community-driven project for tourism info, so by adding your accommodation listings there would help the project out, and the Hitchwiki article could link to the corresponding Wikivoyage article. You aim for a site focussed on budget travel, but "budget travel" is not a uniform entity. One of the reasons that it was judged undesirable to list hostels on Hitchwiki is that many of the editors here travel on too little money to use hostels, 0–5€/day, which makes a 12€/night hostel seem like a luxury. They stay with hosts from hospitality exchange communities or are quite content to sleep rough, which is why the "Sleeping" section generally offers advice only on hospex and camping, and why Trashwiki links are included (whereas "classic Lonely Planet" backpackers would probably be uncomfortable with dumpster diving) but restaurant listings are not. As for Wikivoyage, that site is what you make of it; if you feel that its budget listings are meagre, then add your content to the Cyprus page there. CRCulver (talk) 13:38, 16 April 2013 (CEST)
