Hey! I noticed you [http://hitchwiki.org/en/index.php?title=Train&curid=2973&diff=87816&oldid=85261 added train schedules] to Train article. I don't think it servers a purpose to add so detailed information there — it keeps changing all the time anyway and e.g. for Finland people can just use [https://www.vr.fi/cs/vr/en/frontpage vr.fi] to check timetables and routes. Let's keep the article more generic shall we? :-) -[[User:Mikael|Mikael]] ([[User talk:Mikael|talk]]) 08:35, 2 May 2017 (UTC)

Revision as of 09:35, 2 May 2017

Welcome to Hitchwiki! Thanks for your additions on Trains, but please don't write in first-person on Hitchwiki. On a community-edited site like a wiki, it is not clear who "I" or "me" is. So, instead of "I do not recommend...", for example, you should write instead "it is not recommended to...". CRCulver (talk) 22:13, 5 November 2014 (UTC)

Again, thanks for your addition to Trains, but please do a spellcheck before saving your edits and try to ensure correct grammar. There are very many mistakes, and the content must be completely rewritten.

Dear Prino

I know that my spelling and language, sentences creating is not so good, but it is wrong too in my mother tongue. I have dislectic advantages and concentration disorder after something bad. I want to help but writing practice have been always bad. However I want to share my How-Know.

Some browsers have good spelling tools (for example this TOR browser). But classic Firefox in local Win XP has not so powerful spelling tool.

Last article was quite huge edit and it have taken many hours. And I was quite tired in late night and I planed to reediting this article about Sweden next 1-2 day. I can not work any time, because this activity can disturb colleagues and this topic is not allowed in average society, and it is possible to be persecuted for this.

And I have not always internet access. So I never know when I how long I will be on internet, it depends on place where I am. Sometimes I have to break and continue next time. But I still should make some minor edits. I have written about all countries, where I have been dancing.

The connection to hitchwiki is not encrypted https but normal http. It means that it can be captured on network - all connection to hitchwiki (exact URL, user nick, PASSWORD, edited text, cookies). But if you use https, only main domain hitchwiki.org and transfer size is visible. And if I use TOR browser, it is even better, because nothing can be captured, transfer is encrypted. But TOR is blocked because of spam. I understood that many users abuse the TOR network, but not me. It was possible to use TOR after sign in by my user name. And of course - passwords storage should be as hash, not as plain text.

I have fairy good password here, it can not be broken by brute force. But a lot of time (almost every week) my password do not work and I have to reset password. However I can use old password after reset. I do not know why. My computer knowledge are better than writing knowledge.

Best Peter

Hey Prino, that was not very polite from you. This is not how we should communicate here at Hitchwiki. -Mikael (talk) 08:35, 2 May 2017 (UTC)

Trains in Germany

Just letting you know that I cleaned up parts of the information about blackriding trains in Germany, a lot of which was written by you. Part of it was outdated, and some was wrong or too generic. I can guarantee you that some train inspectors are very willing to call the police if they catch someone without ticket and without id. Also, while you can in theory go to prison for blackriding, this is highly unlikely and under normal circumstances not possible just because you got caught twice.

Also, please keep in mind, that it is illegal to encourage people to do something illegal - and that includes blackriding. Be careful what and how you write please, as this might get me and you in trouble.

Let me know if you want to discuss this further. --MrTweek(talk) 02:02, 26 July 2016 (CEST)
