:Practical answer: Wikitravel is owned and controlled by a company, they put ads on the site and you can't download the database dump (I've asked for this, even before Wikitravel was sold out to Internet Brands). This is quite different from [[Hitchwiki:How_we_want_to_keep_Hitchwiki|how we want to keep Hitchwiki]].
:Content related answer: 1. I don't think Wikitravel would want to include extended information about hitchhike spots inside cities. 2. Hitchhikers are often not tourists.
