Your method of allocating waiting times to countries as a proportion of the distance covered in each country is not "somewhat discussable", it's utterly ridiculous! If I were a follower of this method, I'd have a waiting time in SK for a ride that started in CZ and ended in H, without even stopping in SK... [[User:Prino|Prino]] 00:04, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

Hi guys! I do not have a log here, but I have a full list of my rides online. I just updated it, so check it here: [1] --Fverhart 21:50, 24 October 2007 (CEST)--84.30.146.113 21:49, 24 October 2007 (CEST)

Hey Frank, nice to see you here. Thanks for your contributions so far, I'm sure you have much more useful tips to share ;) --MrTweek 17:38, 12 April 2007 (CEST)

Arnhem

Hoi Frank! Did you remove text from Arnhem by accident or was there are reason to do so? In the former case, don't worry, I merged both versions. In the latter case: it's good to leave a Summary of the edit in case it might cause confusion among other Hitchwiki folks. Guaka 14:04, 13 July 2007 (CEST)

Yes, because the service area at IJsseloordweg has been reopened in october 2006, like I wrote in the replaced text. The rest of Tom's contribution seemed irrelevant and undesirable; relating the impression that Arnhem has a high share of 60+ drivers with WWII, that there are gangs with saloon cars and adding the caption "hh out of arnhem - one hitch too far is really undesirable and certainly not true. It seamed a way to express frustration, but that's not the right place here ~ then use a boxing ball instead ;). Also, the advice to change an itinerary to Nijmegen when stuck in Arnhem and heading for Germany (eg on the spot that does not exist anymore according to Tom) is not that good. Especially now that the service station under reconstruction on IJsseloordweg is back in service. Besides that it would not be easier or less hard over Nijmegen (or I do not know how to claim that ~ I'm interested to hear why it would be easier over Nijmegen, which isn't the case I claim). Because between the now returned service area and the German border there are still 2 service areas, so only a short ride out of Arnhem makes the world go round, if you have a driver going only to Doetinchem or Zevenaar, you already get by service area Oudbroeken (A12 between exits 28 and 29). And if the service area on IJsseloordweg would be taken out of service, it would still be doable to get a ride there from junction Velperbroek, the roundabout which connects A12, A348 and IJsseloordweg, or at the Esso petrol station in the south of Velp, 100 meter before Velperbroek roundabout! :) Well, it would have been better to discuss the matter and not change, or do this prior to changing the page. I'll copy these comments to the Arnhem page as well! Document about the reconstruction of the service area including a photo: http://www.texaco.nl/pdf/Arnhem%20NL.pdf. I've hitchhiked there on 27 december 2006fverhart 23:59, 13 July 2007 (CEST)

Sysop

We don't really have a policy about this, but MrTweek and I decided to "promote" some more people to sysops on the wiki. Of course we noticed your great contributions and decided to make you into a sysop :) Check project:administrators to read (a little bit) more about this. Guaka 21:08, 7 August 2007 (CEST)

Talk:789

Frank, sorry, I see I made a small mistake. You had deleted the whole page by accident, except for the multiple-location discussion, and I reverted it. Wanted to leave you a note about it on your talk-page but got interrupted by something off-line. I now see as well though that you had left a note as well. I now repost your contribution and would propose to delete our little thread at Talk:789 if you're o.k. with that. I also responded to your contribution b.t.w. --Robino 00:35, 26 August 2008 (CEST)
