He was born in Blantyre, Malawi, has lived in Harare, Zimbabwe, and currently lives and works for food as a data analyst in Johannesburg, South Africa.
He has hitched and travelled through India, twice, also hitched and travelled in a few countries in Africa. He has also travelled as a rugby player, touring through Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. He has spent some time travelling in the Middle East, namely Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, travelling through Dubai; Sharjah; Umm al-Quwain and Ras al-Khaimah.
