I probably started hitchhiking when I was 14 with my sister, I started to do it independently at 18. I don't think I'm a hardcore hitchhiker but I probably do more than 1000 km each year this way.

Hiking in Bosnia

I'm dreaming about hiking in Bosnia, sounds a bad idea because of the mines but after reading this book I've been convinced that it's possible if you do it carefully. This guide witch was made by a former ngo worker is really complete, include precise maps and a lot of information about the location of the mined areas. There is some amazing mountains there in really wild areas. So if any hitchhiker is crazy enough to do it but also wise enough to avoid doing stupid security mistakes, contact me and we'll speak about it.
