Although a traveler at heart, Zander engages in a variety of activities when not hitching rides. Zander is an anarchist, dedicated to annihilating all forms of hierarchy, domination, oppression, and coercion. He is also a squatter, a tattoo artist and piercer, a bicycle mechanic and enthusiast, a hyperactive member of Food Not Bombs [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Food_not_bombs], a volunteer at a food cooperative and a radical resource center, a member of an anti-authoritarian collective, and a juice-bespattered dumpster warrior [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dumpster_diving]. Zander owes a great deal of his knowledge and life experience to hitchhiking.
