Hitchhiker for 18 years. Started in 2004. I don't do global HH extravaganza tours, but have done it all around Denmark in all outskirts and in everyday life - to work, to parties, for weekendtrips. I am the founder of Blaffernationen which is a danish green social initiative that promotes HH to the public and tries to share more nuanced stories about trust, courage, adventure and sustainable travel and transport. Among other things and together with a lot of people we have made official hitchhiking stops (Blafferstoppesteder) all around Denmark in a coorporation with local people, local hitchhikers, authorities (police, The Road Directory and the municipalities).
