Ubud is a town on the Indonesian island of Bali, located amongst rice paddies and steep ravines in the central foothills of the Gianyar regency.
Hitchhiking out
Hitching out of Ubud proved to be almost impossible for someone with a European/American complexion - lots of taxis stopped and any car or motorbike that stopped suddenly turned into a taxi.
Hitching In
Hitching into Ubud from places elsewhere in Bali was easy.
