Other possibilities are to ask at one of the two petrol stations north of the mentioned roundabout. In summer, most drivers were saying that they are going north ''(so maybe this is a good spot for this direction?)''. You can also ask people at the Ikea ''(maybe good for going east to Finland?)''.

In Tornio, walk along the E8 for about 1 km to get to an intersection. There is a bus stop after the traffic lights with plenty of space to stop. There is quite a lot of traffic, but mostly people drive only short distances to their homes. Try to get a short ride out of the city area to get longer rides.
