| + | ::Hitching through North Serbia was fairly easy and so friendly, even hitching at night (June 2008), we had fun in Vojvodina getting a ride quite quickly on the country road at night from one village to another. Then another day a straight ride to Beograd. But leaving Beograd to Nis has been a total failure, I tend to say it is quite impossible to leave that city unless someone does manage to put the details on how to get a transport to the Toll and start from there. Has anyone ever found a spot from Belgrade (without a map the one detailled is completely non-understandable [[User:Maplefanta|Maplefanta]] 00:16, 30 June 2008 (CEST) | ||

Some info about serbia and belgrade...
Hitchhiked in spring 2007 through Serbia. I got into Belgrade fairly easy with one ride almost all the way from Zagreb. But going from Belgrade to Nis was a bit harder. I only got short distance rides. It is expensive for drivers to pay the toll on that road from the north of Serbia to the south and there is not a lot of traffic (appr. 10 euros). Hitchhiking seemed to be less common as in Slovenia and Croatia. I got stuck in the middle of nowhere just off the highway and I had to ask drivers to take me just a short distance.
